Ally's Lakeside Contemplation by Rennon-the-Shaved Ally's Lakeside Contemplation by Rennon-the-Shaved
Ally the nerdy amputee takes an uncharacteristic sad moment to remember what it was like to have two legs while spending the day at the lake.

I tried to show the phantom limb pain phenomenon that amputees often experience. Thus, there are two legs in the water.

Must be hard being an amputee...A guy at my Church lost his leg in in deep sea fishing.
Nice job on the textures, there.

Well, I tried to focus mainly on the positive aspects of Ally's character, specifically her sense of humor and upbeat attitude. That way she was not just a sad amputee character, but a fun-loving character that just happened to be minus one leg.

It's better for her to be happy. My cousin has a wheelchair bound friend, and he doesn't let it get him down, he even jokes around about his disability.

Forgot- I wanted to say... Very emotional drawing. And I really like the background and shoreline effects.

Tell Ally 'chin up babe'!

Wow.

I add this to my favorites, 'coz of a railroad friend of mine. He's wheelchair-bound, due to a RR accident some years back. It never stopped him, he's still active as a locomotive engineer, and a danged good one at that.

He's been an inspiration to me. To Never give up!

Great finish to the black and white original, especially the underwater effect for her leg and the phantom...

The line art for some reason was unclear to me which leg she lost, but this clarifies it perfectly, great work! =^^=
